ABILITY LEVEL
To
go heliskiing you dont need to be an expert skier
or snowboarder.
Adventure powder skiing does not require picture perfect
style and technique. Physical fitness just as important
as skiing ability. However, it requires a certain agility
and manueuverability on skis or a snowboard in deep and
wild conditions.
Thanks to the use of special FAT skis for deep
snow everybody can experience safely the emotion proportional
to his ability level.
Usually the various organization divide groups in 3 different
ability levels
E: EXPERT
You are in top physical shape and have experience skiing
off piste in powder and can ski all types of downhill ski
runs including trees, moguls and steep pitches with confidence.
A:ADVANCED
You are physically fit and have some off piste powder and
tree skiing experience. You can ski most types of downhill
runs at your own pace. You are a short radius parallel skier.
I:INTERMEDIATE
You are reasonably fit and ski blue runs with confidence.
You have no off piste (ungroomed) powder or tree skiing
experience. You are a long radius parallel skier.

The pilots are chosen with similar qualities in mind as

flying, but they are also professional and outgoing by nature.

THE SKIING
The average daily vertical varies from 4,5 a 6 km (and from
4 to10 runs). The guide goes down first, giving clear directions
on the path to follow and the possible difficulties to overcome.
The Glaciers and Open Bowls:
A blue sky day offers you glacier and open bowl skiing second
to none. The abundance of snow allows us almost endless
possibilities to ski / board the challenging terrain within
the vast areas.
THE TREES
Trees are for many skiers the most exciting and challenging
skiing imaginable. The snow usually is untouched by the
wind and stays light and fluffy for a long time. There is
nothing more exhilarating than spending a day skiing the
trees with a heavy snowfall, covering your tracks behind
